Salvation Army Collects Donations for Tornado Survivors

SOUTHFIELD As The Salvation Army continues its tireless efforts to aid those affected by the recent devastating tornadoes in the Midwest and Southern United States, The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit is accepting monetary donations locally to help directly support this effort.

These monetary donations will help provide immediate needs such as food, clothing, medicine, shelter, bedding and baby products as well as comfort and hope to the devastated areas.

You can make a donation online at http://donate.salvationarmyusa.org/storms, or call 1-800-SAL-ARMY, or make a $10.00 donation by texting “storm” to 80888, to confirm your gift, respond with the word “Yes.”

Your donations of funds make the biggest impact. However, please continue to donate gently-used household goods to your local Salvation Army Thrift Store— you help your community today and it may help with disaster relief needs in the future.
