Black Lotus Under Construction, Kitchen Closed This Week

in Clawson has closed its kitchen for the week as the restaurant undergoes construction and upgrades.

Manager Jason Womack said that when the kitchen is finished, it will be walled off with a larger area for cooking and food preparation. Womack said owners also plan to purchase a pizza oven so they can add different flavors of pizza to the menu. Patrons can expect to see an expanded menu at Black Lotus in the next couple of months, he said. 

Construction started Sunday and is expected to conclude sometime next week.

"It's well on its way," Womack said of the construction.

In the meantime, Black Lotus will serve items from the menu as well as pizza by the slice.
