Clawson’s 4th Of July Fireworks 2020 Canceled
Clawson's traditional Fourth of July events have been canceled due to health concerns, and a lack of funding,
CLAWSON, MI – July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events, including Clawson. The city listed the following reasons for canceling:
- Without funds from booths and other ticketed Fourth of July events, it would be challenging to afford the show
- It would be impossible to enforce social distancing, creating a health risk
- Business participating would be limited
- Staffing would have to be primarily volunteers
