Clawson Schools' String Orchestras Concert Features Moxie Strings

Fiddler Diana Ladio, electric cellist Alison Lynn and dynamic drummer and world percussionist Fritz McGirr will perform.

CLAWSON, MI — The Clawson Middle School and High School String Orchestras will present a concert with The Moxie Strings - an electrifying combination of fiddler Diana Ladio, electric cellist Alison Lynn and dynamic drummer and world percussionist Fritz McGirr.

Their polished, high-energy show and unique sounds are redefining strings’ role in contemporary music. The ensemble calls on Bluegrass, Celtic, Canadian, Rock, Jazz and Old Time influences to create their unique, American hybrid style of music.

Lynn performs on a newly invented, electric cello, and Ladio on a contemporary 5-string violin, both through a variety of audio effects pedals. McGirr performs on a mix of world percussionist instruments and drum kit.
