Farbman Group Promotes Two Team Members

Chris Chesney promoted to executive vice president, Shona Cannon promoted to senior graphic designer

Southfield, Michigan-based Farbman Group, a leading full-service real estate company, announced today the promotion of two of its team members. Chris Chesney has been promoted from Senior Vice President to executive vice president and Shona Cannon has been promoted from graphic designer to senior graphic designer for the marketing team. Group CEO Andrew V. Farbman made the announcement.

“As a leader in the commercial real estate industry aiming to serve our clients and peers to the best of our ability, it is crucial that we have the right team members in the right seats,” said Farbman. “Chris and Shona have brought exceptional value to Farbman Group with their collective expertise and enthusiasm. Their promotions are reflective or their leadership, valuable oversight and out-of-the-box solutions and their new roles will help us to continue ensuring Farbman Group’s white-glove service for clients.”

Chesney joined Farbman Group in 2014 and has over a decade of experience in Accounting. In his new role, Chesney will be responsible for overseeing a 15-person accounting team, designing and reviewing energy efficient upgrades in the Farbman Group portfolio and facilitating cost segregation studies. He is involved in financing, dispositions, acquisitions, new business development and technology updates.

Cannon joined Farbman Group in 2014 as a graphic designer for the Farbman Group marketing team, with five years of previous design experience. Stepping into her new role as senior graphic designer, Cannon will lead the charge in maintaining branding and creation of visual presence of marketing materials. Her responsibilities include creative concept development, the re-branding of sister companies, design and layout of pitch presentations, creation of proposals, advertisements, logos, specialty signage, graphic illustrations and more, video editing, and assisting the executive, brokerage and investment teams with visual collateral and eye catching marketing materials. She also serves as a mentor to college graphic design students and occasionally works with students through Farbman Group’s internship program.
