Four Superintendent Candidates Bring Experience to the Table

Four candidates are interviewing this week for the position as superintendent of Clawson Schools. , of Capac Community Schools, was the first candidate to interview on Monday and the other three candidates will interview Wednesday and Thursday. Superintendent Cheryl Rogers will retire in June after five years of working in the district.

Each candidate comes to the table with diverse experiences in the field of education.

Gerald Jennex

is currently the superintendent of Capac Community Schools. He has his master's in educational administration and counseling. He was superintendent of Reed Point Public Schools in Montana for two years and superintendent of Frankfort-Elberta Area Schools for nine years.

Terrence Urquhart

has been with Forest Hills Public Schools for eight years as principal of Central High School. He has an Ed.S. in educational administration and a master's in sports administration. He was a high school principal in Kalamazoo Public Schools for seven years and a high school principal in Carrollton Public Schools for seven years.

Catherine Cost

has been with Farmington Public Schools for six years as assistant superintendent of Instructional Services. She has an Ed.D. in educational administration and a master's in curriculum and instruction. She was the high school principal of for six years and the assistant high school principal of for four years.

Monique Beels

Monique Beels has been with for two years as assistant superintendent for Instructional Curriculum, Technology and Assessment. She has an Ed.S. in administration ands upervision, and a master's in elementary education. She was an assistant principal of Jefferson Middle School in Lakeville Public Schools for four years and a high school/middle school math, chemistry, and science teacher at Lakeville Public Schools for five years.
