Happy Monday: What You Should Know This Week
We're looping you in on meetings and announcements for Clawson this week.
Meetings
- There will be a Town Hall Meeting on the upcoming millage proposal at 7 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall. Attendees will be able to ask questions and learn more about the proposal which will appear on the ballot in the Feb. 28 Republican primary election.
- The Roots & Shoots Community Kids Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Hunter Community Center. The youth community service group meets on the third Monday of every month. There are also field trips and community service projects at least once a month. The group is for kids ages 7-18.
- City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall.
- The Clawson parks committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hunter Community Center.
Announcements
- The Clawson 4th of July committee will hold a Mom 2 Mom Sale at Hunter Community Center on March 24 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Anyone interested in participating in the sale should contact Don Michel at 248-585-8242 or campindon1120@yahoo.com. The cost is $15 per table to sell.
- Currently there is open registration for Clawson Youth Soccer. Children can register until March 1 by going to the CYS website, http://www.clawsonyouthsoccer.org/. In addition to registering online there will be the opportunity to register at the Hunter Community Center on Feb. 21 and Feb. 22 from 6-8 p.m. The cost varies based on the age division your child fits into.
- The Clawson Food Pantry will be open from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday at Grace Apostolic Church. The pantry is open to families on the second and fourth Monday of each month. The pantry also accepts food donations during this time.
