Clawson Police to Auction Abandoned Vehicles
Old and newer cars will be sold at a public auction next Thursday.

The will auction off several unclaimed vehicles next week at A&M Towing in Troy.
The auction, in conjunction with the city of Troy, will take place at noon Thursday.
Police Chief Harry Anderson said most of the cars were abandoned throughout the city or towed after arrests.

"We do (an auction) when we start getting an accumulation of cars," Anderson said.
Anderson said police have collected the cars during the past six months or so, and they are usually stored at A&M Towing. Most of the proceeds from the auction will help pay the storage fees for the vehicles, he said.

"Owners may redeem their vehicles up until 11 a.m. on the day of the auction by paying all charges against the vehicle at A&M Towing," a release from the Clawson Police Department said. "All vehicles are sold 'as is' and must be removed within 24 hours."
Clawson Police will auction the following cars:
- 2004 Chevy Cavalier
- 1980 Cadillac Devil
- 1992 Buick Regal
- 1998 Jaguar VDP
- 2009 Ford Fusion
The event is open to the public. A&M Towing is located at 2075 Austin Dr. in Troy.
