MegaMillions Jackpot Hits $291 Million for Dec. 6 Drawing

With no big winner in Tuesday's drawing, the multi-state MegaMillions lottery jackpot has risen to $291 million. 

The jackpot for the Dec. 6 drawing will be the 9th largest in MegaMillions history. Winners in Kansas, Illinois and Maryland split the largest prize, $656 million, in March of 2012, according to the MegaMillions website. 

The site also reports one ticket, sold in Missouri, matched five numbers Tuesday, making the ticket holder eligible for a $1 million prize. Michigan's last big winner, Troy resident Dick Zelasko, claimed an $80 million prize in July of this year.
