Oakland County Man Held in Stabbing of Son-in-Law
Police said Henry Allen Michael allegedly stabbed his son-in-law, who reportedly found his wife naked in bed with her father.

A 47-year-old Pontiac man is in custody for allegedly stabbing his son-in-law, 25, in the back after the younger man found him lying in bed nude with his daughter, the younger man’s wife, about 3:30 a.m. Saturday, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said.
The 25-year-old man told police he arrived at the home in the 100 lock of West Rundell Avenue in Pontiac, and discovered his father-in-law, Henry Allen Michael, of Detroit, in bed with his daughter.

He woke up his father-in-law and got into an altercation that continued outside. Michael allegedly fled the scene in his son-in-law’s vehicle after the stabbing.

When the daughter, 24, was interviewed, she told police she had been out drinking with her father and passed out when she arrived at the house. She said she was unaware of what had happened until her husband awoke her, and had reason to believe she had been sexually assaulted.
After an examination at the hospital, she was transported to the Haven START Program for further examination.
Police said Michael had been staying with his daughter and son-in-law after his release from prison. Sgt. Steven Troy of the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office told WWJ/CBS Detroit that Michael was released from prison in 2012 after he was found guilty and sentenced to 20 years in prison for a 1992 robbery. In March 2015, he pleaded guilty to assault with a dangerous weapon and was placed on probation through January 2015.
At the time of the alleged stabbing, he had an outstanding warrant in Taylor for a probation violation. The investigation is continuing, and anyone with information is encouraged to call police at (248) 858-4911.
