This WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 9th 2015 @ 730pm The BERMAN CENTER FOR THE ARTS will welcome three of DETROIT’s BEST ENTERTAINERS in a “RAGTIME to ROCK’n ROLL” SHOW that will have a little something for everyone! The performing artist roster will include the following headline acts, plus special guests:
DAVE BENNETT
Pianist and singer DAVE BENNETT is a signed touring artist, Mr. BENNETT made his CARNEGIE HALL DEBUT in 2013 and has performed in over thirty-five US States as well as Canada and Europe! He has been featured on NPR’s The Jim Cullum Jazz Band as well as on Jazz at Riverwalk, and is one of the most active performers in southeast Michigan today. He is described today as “A remarkable talent of genius proportions!”
RAGTIME JON MILAN

JON MILAN aka RAGTIME JON, is a pianist, educator, and author of the globally sold Detroit: Ragtime and the Jazz Age, placing him squarely as the foremost authority on Detroit’s own exceptional Ragtime tradition! In demand as both a performer and lecturer, Jon maintains both an active performing and writing itinerary, with two additional books under his belt. Jon has been featured on WJR, WDET and WQRS and has appeared on ABC’s Channel 7, ‘Detroit, Saturday Morning.’ His performances have been praised as “wonderful old-fashioned musicianship!”
MATTHEW BALL, THE MOTOR CITY BOOGIE WOOGIE KID

MATTHEW BALL, aka THE BOOGIE WOOGIE KID is described as “Michigan’s leading boogie-woogie man!” Ball is an attorney turned musician who left the practice after attending a 2001 boogie festival. With recent appearances on NPR’s All Things Considered and Morning Edition, Matthew is called a “nationally emerging boogie-woogie master.” NOW with over 3.2 million YOUTUBE views of his past performance video footage, Ball has become a phenomenon, with descriptions of his performances like “Awesome!” “Crushing!” Fantastic!”
