3 Arrested in Connection With Armed Robbery of Chase Bank

3 arrested at apartment complex after armed robbery at Macomb Township Chase branch.

Three people have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery Monday at the Chase Bank at 20851 Hall Road, just east of Heydenreich, in Macomb Township, according to Macomb County Sheriff's Officials.

According to the department, deputies were led to the nearby Harbors Apartment complex while investigating the 9:40 a.m. robbery, where three individuals were arrested and are currently being questioned by detectives. According to the department, detectives recovered money, a handgun and clothing that matches that of one of the suspects in the robbery. 

According to the department, FBI agents are assisting with the case and more information is expected to be provided Tuesday.

Bank employees reported a man walked into the bank at 9:40 a.m., jumped over the counter and showed a silver, semi-automatic handgun and a note demanding $20,000. According to the department, the man received an undisclosed amount of money and left the bank.

Witnesses told Sheriff's officials there was a second person waiting outside the bank and that both fled the bank property and ran across Hall Road toward Harbors Apartments.
