Break-In Suspect Caught
Clinton Township Police arrested a man Sunday of breaking into a home in the 16 Mile and Kelly roads area.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — Clinton Township Police have arrested a man suspected of breaking into a home in the 16 Mile and Kelly roads area Saturday evening. The department reported being contacted by homeowners after a man described as about 6-feet tall with a goatee was seen trying to open a doorwall.
After failing on the first attempt, Clinton Township Police said in a Facebook post that the suspect came back and got into the home. WDIV-TV reported the home belonged to David Phillips, who saw the suspect leave his home.
"(I was only) out for four to five minutes (when) I saw someone walk out our sliding glass doors," Phillips said.
Phillips followed the man. "I walked into the laundry room, got a flashlight and he was gone. As I walked out I was calling 911," Phillips said.
