Chesterfield Man Charged in Crash that Killed Unborn Baby
A Chesterfield man was arraigned Monday after he allegedly ran red light in Clinton Township while intoxicated.
Christopher James Albright, 21, Chesterfield Township in was 41B District Court Monday on a variety of charges related to an accident that killed the unborn child of a Roseville woman and injured her.
Macomb county authorities allege that Albright was legally intoxicated when he ran a red light at 16 Mile and Utica at 6:37 p.m. Friday and struck a vehicle driven by the pregnant woman, Paj Yang, 24, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Operating while intoxicated, second offense, causing death; and
Operating while intoxicated, second offense, causing serious injury.

Yang was southbound on Utica Road Friday evening and entering the intersection when her burgundy Nissan Cube was struck by Albright’s  silver Ford Focus, which was westbound on 16 Mile Road, Clinton Township police said in a news release.
Yang was in critical condition, but has been upgraded to stable condition, according to the release.
Douglas Rettke, a passenger in Albright’s vehicle, was treated at a local hospital and released, according to the Detroit Free Press.
All parties were wearing seat belts, police said.
