Clinton Township Man Gets Life In Prison For Toddler's Murder
Clinton Township man sentenced to life in prison for the brutal murder of his girlfriend's son.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A Clinton Township man will spend the rest of his life behind bars, without the possibility of parole, for atrociously murdering his girlfriend's son.
William Mark Warren III was watching 18-month-old Amere Carver, the son of Warren's girlfriend, Brandee Wright, on Aug.11. While in Warren's care, the boy was brutally abused and died two days later at Children's Hospital. Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith said the toddler died of severe trauma. He had bruises and burns on his body and his brain was liquefied.
Warren was found guilty of felony murder and first-degree child abuse in Macomb County Circuit Court. Warren's girlfriend, Wright, made a deal and plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter, second-degree child abuse and lying to a police officer in exchange for testimony against Warren.
