Clinton Township Robber Gets 51 Months In Prison
Last of five defendants in a 2015 armed robbery and home invasion in Mt. Clemens is sentenced.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A 20-year-old Clinton Township man has been sentenced in connection with an armed robbery and home invasion at a Mt. Clemens home in 2015. Joshua Mills will serve 51 months in jail for his part in the incident in which he and four other men robbed a woman and her family of cell phones and other electronics, according to a Macomb Daily report.
“One culprit held a knife to the neck of Denise Tigney’s neck during the robbery. She was uninjured, but eventually moved her family away from Mt. Clemens because of the trauma of the incident.”
“The group, all young men, stole items and fled in a vehicle and were caught by sheriff’s deputies a short time later driving on Joy Boulevard.
Mills’ sentence was in line with three of the defendants, all of whom were convicted by plea. The fifth defendant, the getaway driver, received a slightly lower sentence of 30 months.”
