Clinton Township Teen Arrested for False Bomb Threat

An 18-year-old Clinton Township resident has been arrested for making a false bomb threat to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.
Macomb Sheriff's Dispatch received a 911 call on March 14 during which the caller yelled, "There's a bomb in the building."
After determining the threat to be false, the sheriff's office was able to trace the identity of the caller through his cell phone, according to the sheriff's office.

Making a false report or threat of bomb/harmful device is a felony, punishable by up to four years in prison and/or $2,000 in costs to the government for responding to a false report.
