Coalition Plans 'Vaping" Discussion At L’Anse Creuse High
L'Anse Creuse High-North will also hold a forum on vaping on Nov. 28.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — The L’Anse Creuse Community Action Coalition is hosting community forums titled “Call to Conversation: Vaping” on Nov. 15 and Nov. 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at L’Anse Creuse High School and L’Anse Creuse High School – North, respectively.
Vaping is an increasingly popular trend in which electronic cigarettes called “vape pens” are used to heat liquid, often called “vape juice” or “e-juice,” to boiling, at which point it becomes an inhalable vapor. Vape juice comes in a wide variety of flavors, including cotton candy and bubblegum, leading many to suspect that vape products are being specifically marketed to teenagers.
Although vaping is branded as a healthier alternative to traditional smoking, many of the same chemicals present in cigarettes are also in vape juice. In addition, vaping is still such a new phenomenon that the health impacts remain to be seen.
