Macomb County Coronavirus Update: 82,028 Cases, 2,008 Deaths

Michigan on Monday reported 8,574 new cases of the coronavirus and added 61 more COVID-19 deaths.

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — More than 2,000 COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Macomb County as of Monday, according to the most recent data released Monday by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

According to the state data, 82,028 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Macomb County. Meanwhile, 2,008 people in the county have died from the virus, according to state numbers.

The updated figures — which represent cases reported since Saturday — bring Michigan's total coronavirus numbers to 793,881 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 16,901 reported COVID-19 deaths.
More than 603,000 people in Michigan also have recovered from the coronavirus, according to state health officials.
