Popular Eatery to Close Doors

Brigette's Cafe owners decide to close doors for good Dec. 19

One of the community’s most popular Lebanese restaurants is slated to close its doors for good Dec. 19.

Brigette’s Cafe in Clinton Township, which has been a local favorite for nearly two decades, is located on Garfield and 19 Mile Road, according to a report in the Macomb Daily.

“It was a good run for us, but we’d like to leave while it’s a success,” said Miriam Nahas DeLamielleure. “We’ve been very blessed to have had this restaurant and such good customers. We want to thank everyone for supporting us all these years.”

Ownership cites the demand of time as a major contributor to the decision.

“We’ve loved every minute here, but running a business dictates your life,” co-owner Diane Nahas told the paper. “We often can’t attend events or family gatherings because we’re so busy with the restaurant. It’s time for that to end.”
