Treat Yourself to an Ice Cream to Help Make-A-Wish

While summer may be behind us, the craving for ice cream never truly goes away.

And now, there's an extra reason to enjoy a tasty treat on Thursday.

Cold Stone Creamery is hosting its 11th annual World's Largest Ice Cream Social, with $1 from the sale of every "Love It-" or "Gotta Have It-"sized ice cream going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Since 2002, Cold Stone has raised more than $4 million for Make-A-Wish.

Thursday's promotion runs from open to close at participating locations across the country.

Clinton Township's Cold Stone is located at 1085 South Gratiot. There is another location at 50496 Schoenherr Rd. in Shelby Township.
