U.S. Rep Levin: Tying Debt Ceiling Increase to Obamacare Delay is 'Height of Irresponsibility'
Sander Levin, a Michigan Democrat, responded this week to a reported GOP plan regarding Obamacare.

Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Sander Levin, a Michigan Democrat, released the following statement Tuesday. Levin's office cited Majority Leader Eric Cantor's reported comments to House Republicans that GOP leaders will demand the delay of Affordable Care Act’s implementation in exchange for agreeing to raise the debt ceiling as reason for the Congressman's response.Â
“Threatening to default and send our economy into a tailspin is irresponsible enough as it is. Threatening to default in order to put big health insurance companies back in charge of Americans’ health care and prevent people from getting affordable health coverage is the height of irresponsibility," Levin stated.
