1 In Serious Condition After Shooting In Dearborn Monday

Police said the man was shot when someone tried robbing him as he exited the Fairlane Town Center Monday evening.

DEARBORN, MI — Dearborn police said a man is in serious condition after being shot in an attempted robbery outside the Fairlane Town Center Monday evening.

According to police, the man was exiting the center around 5:50 p.m. when someone tried to rob him. The man was ultimately shot and was transported to a local hospital where he is currently listed in temporary serious condition, police said.

“The Dearborn Police Department will aggressively investigate this brazen crime and utilize all available resources to bring those responsible to justice," Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said. "Reckless acts such as this endanger innocent lives and will not be tolerated. Please remember to stay vigilant and safe this holiday season.”
