So what makes a good Michigan real estate company? When selling your piece of real estate in Dearborn Michigan you want a company that is going to pick up the phone. A company that is going to be responsive to your needs and have good communication with you. You want a company that has longer hours and customer service representatives that are available to you.
When you are selling your Dearborn home you want to show your home as much as possible. Right? Well if you hire a company you want them to answer the phone when buyers and real estate agents call, no matter when it is. Sometimes agents and buyers call after 5. You want somebody to reach out to you, to ask you to show your home even if it is late. So when you are interviewing Michigan real estate agents and real estate companies ask them if they have an after hours service that will take calls after they close. Usually it is an 800 number to call. These after hour service companies help get your home sold by making it easier for agents to show your home. The more showings on your home the more likely you are to get an offer if your home is priced right.
So is a bigger company better? I definitely believe a real estate company that is bigger and has call/showing software is better for you. This is behind the scenes stuff that you may not realize is a benefit for you. Everytime an agent shows your house the software has all the agents information, when they showed it, and automatically sends out a feedback request. This makes it easy for us as agents to maintain contact with agents and buyers that may have an interest. If we have to make a price change we are able to reach out and tell everybody about the new price. If we get an offer we can tell everybody we have an offer in order to second or third offer. We might get a bidding war out of it.

A small company may not have the money for the software. I know some one and two real estate operations that write this information down on anything they can grab. They may be out showing houses when we call. That paper may get lost. They may not have our information at all to get back to us. If that small company you hired has no secretary then your agent is working like a secretary to call you and return calls, what good are they to you? Wouldn’t you rather your agent be marketing your home instead of being a secretary? After all if they have a few houses for sale then they are definitely working as a secretary instead of your real estate agent.
There is only so many hours in a day. You want your agent to delegate those simple tasks so they can work on getting your home sold. You want a company that has somebody answering the phone beyond 9-5 during the week and 10-2 on the weekend. Our goal is to get your home sold for the highest price possible. The only way to do that is to get showings.

You want the whole company and all it’s resources working for you. So having the resources of a big company is in your best interest. At least in my professional opinion.
