Dearborn Church Hosts Sunday Concert

The concert, titled "Te Deum: The Song of the Saints and Angels," starts at 4 p.m.

DEARBORN, MI — Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church will continue its musical concert series on Oct. 29 with, “Te Deum: The Song of the Saints and Angels.” Organists Deborah Friauff and Timothy Huth will highlight the concert, which starts at 4 p.m.

Friauff is organist and director of music at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Ann Arbor. A versatile musician, she performs professionally as a soprano, organist and conductor. A native of Traverse City, she began studying organ with Betty Kurtz at the age of eight and graduated with honors from Interlochen Arts Academy.

Huth, a native of Fostoria, Ohio, began playing organ at St. Wendelin Church in elementary and high school. After studying philosophy at St. Meinrad College Seminary, he received his Master and Doctorate degrees in organ performance from the University of Michigan. A former dean of the Ann Arbor American Guild of Organists, he currently serves as organist for the First Congregational Church of Ann Arbor.

Huth has enjoyed performing throughout North America and in Spain, France and Germany. He also has connections to Dearborn, having served as organist for the First Presbyterian Church of Dearborn prior to his current position.
