Dearborn Heights Cop Faces Felony Charge In Fatal Crash
Officer Larry A. Little, who is on paid leave, crashed his police cruiser into a vehicle driven by a Wixom man, authorities say.

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI – A Dearborn Heights police officer was formally charged on Monday with reckless driving in connection with a fatal traffic accident last January. Larry A. Little, 32, crashed his police cruiser into another vehicle while on duty, killing driver Timothy Lee Turner, 59, of Wixom, according to Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy.
Little was charged with reckless driving causing death, a felony that carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. On Monday, he appeared in 23rd District Court in Taylor. He is expected back in court next week for a probable cause hearing.
Little, who is on paid administrative leave from the Dearborn Heights Police Department, received a $10,000 personal bond.

Little and his partner were on patrol at 8:20 p.m. on January 1, 2017. Little, according to a statement from Worthy's office, was driving at a high rate of speed and broadsided Turner's vehicle at Van Born and Pelham roads.
Michigan State Police investigated the wreck.
