SODA President Timothy Harrison had a lot of great things to say about the new station.

“We're really excited to be installing the new bike repair station in our neighborhood! One of the stated purposes of SODA is to engage in social, charitable, and other activities which make our neighborhood and community a better place to live,” Harrison said.

“We noticed the new bike repair stations installed at three other locations in the City by Bike Dearborn, and felt that one of those stations would be a great compliment to our little business district,” he said.

Mayor John B. O’Reilly, Jr. praised SODA for its efforts.

“Our community is made stronger through the activities of our neighborhood associations. SODA is offering a great example by spearheading this project, and providing an amenity for everyone to use,” said Mayor O’Reilly.

SODA had 16 donors help them reach their goal. The donors are Alan Devlin, Stephanie Fries, William Strachan, Julia Johnston, Lorraine Satko, Matthew Burpee, Dustin Weber, Sara Gleicher, Michael

Albano, Michele Featherston, Mayor O'Reilly - One Dearborn, Patti Mack, James Witman, George Turley, Jennifer Rigney and, Nady B's Beauty Bar.

The other bike repair stations in Dearborn are at West Village Commons, the Trail Head of Rouge Gateway Trail behind Andiamo, and on Michigan Avenue by City Hall ArtSpace Lofts.

Along with the newest bike repair station from SODA, there will be yet another station being installed within the city at Levagood Park during the summer of 2020. It has been funded by Karl Fava CPA and Business Financial Consultants Inc.
