According to prosecutors, Lukasiewicz on Sept. 26 broke into his 39-year-old ex-girlfriend's apartment through a bedroom window and stabbed her multiple times, saying he would kill her if she called police.
The woman fought Lukasiewicz and ran into a bathroom, where she called 911, prosecutors said.

Dearborn police responded to the apartment, where Lukasiewicz told them he would not open the door for them and threatened to kill the woman inside, according to prosecutors.
Two officers — one with a gun drawn and the other with a taser drawn — kicked in the door and told Lukasiewicz to get on the ground, prosecutors said. Police reported seeing Lukasiewicz standing over the woman and stabbing her, prosecutors said.
One officer grabbed Lukasiewicz by the shirt and told him to step away, but he continued to stab the woman, prosecutors said. He then shot Lukasiewicz twice, hitting him once in the back and a second time in the shoulder, prosecutors said.
The woman had stab wounds to her neck and face that caused a life-threatening amount of bleeding and a collapsed lung, prosecutors said. She recovered at a local hospital, prosecutors said. Lukasiewicz died later the same day.
