Dearborn Police Investigate Case Of Stolen ' 19 Corvettes

One of two stolen 'Vettes has been recovered, but police want the public to help find the missing sports car – and the people who took it.

DEARBORN, MI – Two Corvettes were wheeled away in an overnight heist from a Dearborn lots, reported police. One the 'Vettes has been recovered, police.

A witness called Dearborn Police about 3 a.m. Wednesday, reporting the the saw a late-model mini-van pushing a Chevrolet Corvette from the facility near Rotunda Drive and Miller Road. Police discovered a metal gate was damaged to access the storage lot.

“We are grateful that the witness took the initiative to contact the police immediately which allowed us to quickly respond and investigate the matter," said Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad.

Police said two Corvettes were taken. Later Thursday morning, Michigan State Police recovered one of the Corvettes near McGraw Avenue and 30th Street in Detroit, police reported.

The Corvettes are black, 2019 Corvettes, according Dearborn Police Lt. Gary Mann. The cars were owned by a nearby dealership.
