Dearborn Police Investigating Weekend Vehicle Shooting
Police said one person is in critical condition after being shot.
DEARBORN, MI — Dearborn police said they are investigating a weekend shooting that left one person in critical condition.
According to police, multiple vehicles in the area of Telegraph Road, south of Cherry Hill, in Dearborn were shot at around 9:50 p.m. Saturday.
A passenger in a vehicle driving in the median and preparing to turn north on Telegraph was shot, police said. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition, but is expected to survive, police said.

Another vehicle was also shot at, according to police, but no one in that vehicle was injured.
Police said the shooting is under investigation and is not believed to be a random act.

“Our number one priority is citizen safety," Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said. "When that is jeopardized, we will do everything in our power to ensure the perpetrator(s) are brought to justice. I am urging the public to come forward and provide information regarding the individuals involved in this incident.”
