Dearborn Woman Says Ex-President Bush Touched Her Inappropriately
George H.W. Bush grabbed her buttock while she and her father posed for a photo with the president.

DEARBORN, MI – New allegations of inappropriate behavior by former President George H.W. Bush has been made by a Dearborn, Michigan, woman while he was in office in 1992. The woman, now 55, has not been identified in a report by CNN, which first published the story.
The woman shared a photograph of herself, the president and her father from a Republican campaign fundraising event in Dearborn. It was while that photo was being taken that the alleged "squeeze" took place, she told CNN.
"We got closer together for a family photo and it was like 'Holy crap!'" she said, describing the moment Bush touched her buttocks. "It was like a gentle squeeze."
The woman at the time shared the story with her then-husband, as well as a friend. CNN reported that it contacted her ex-husband and friend, and both confirmed that she told them of the incident. Her ex-husband told the cable news outlet that she felt the president's move was not a "move in closer" for the photo gesture, but one where his "hand definitely was across the butt."

The woman's best friend said that in the photograph, the woman "has a strange look on her face."
Bush, now 93 and confined to a wheelchair, did not respond to the woman's allegations. His spokespeople also declined comment, according to CNN.

The former president has faced similar allegations from other women, who say Bush has touched and groped them during public events. His spokesman Jim McGrath previously issued a statement that he "has patted women's rears in what he intended to be a good-natured manner." If anyone was offended by the ex-president's gesture, he "apologizes most sincerely."
