Main Entrance For Dearborn Administrative Center Will Be Closed Starting March 16 For Construction

Construction of updated entry way will make it easier for people visiting the DAC to identify and access the main entrance from the park.

The main entrance to the Dearborn Administrative Center (DAC) will be closed for construction starting Monday, March 16. The project will last through June.

The DAC houses many city departments serving walk-in customers, including the City Clerk’s Office, Treasury, and building permits division.

There will be directional signs outside of the building guiding residents to the east entrance. From there, signs inside the building will direct patrons to the service kiosk.

The DAC is at 16901 Michigan Ave. The hours of operation are Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some services are available online. Check www.cityofdearborn.org first before visiting the DAC.

Services at the DAC include obtaining a birth certificate, registering to vote, applying for a building permit or certificate of occupancy, and paying taxes and water bills.

The DAC houses the following departments: City Assessor, Economic and Community and Development, Engineering, Finance, Housing, Human Resources, Law and City Plan, Management Information Systems, Property Maintenance and Development Services, and Public Information and CDTV, as well as the City Clerk’s Office, City Council Office and the Mayor’s Office.
