Merrill Advisor Scott Hankins Named one of Forbes “Best-In-State"

Merrill Lynch wealth management advisor, Scott Hankins, was recently named to the Forbes "Best-in-State Wealth Advisors" 2019 list. Hankins joined Merrill Lynch in 2007. As a senior financial advisor he leads a team from his Dearborn, MI office, working with clients to define and prioritize their goals, and developing strategies to achieve those goals. It is a personalized, client-focused approach utilizing the Merrill Lynch goals based wealth management program. In total, 1,019 Merrill Lynch advisors were recognized this year, the most of any firm.

Scott and his team are active in the community, contribute to a number of charitable causes including scholarship funds for high school athletes in Wayne County.

Hankins says he is able to combine his knowledge of financial markets with his commitment to meditation and yoga. “Too often people make financial decisions during stressful times,"says Hankins. "I apply the lessons learned from daily meditation to help clients make calm, reasoned decisions to keep them on track to realizing their investment goals.”

Hankins graduated from the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Personal Finance.

Advisors considered for the Forbes Best-In-State have a minimum of seven years’ experience. The criteria includes factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience, best practices, and approach to working with clients.
