Snow Possible Thursday Night, Sun For Friday
Friday is supposed to be the Detroit Tigers home opener, but as much as two inches of snow could fall Thursday night.
(UPDATED) METRO DETROIT, MI — Friday is supposed to be the Detroit Tigers home opener. Mother nature may not cooperate, however. As much as two inches of snow could fall by Friday morning in metropolitan Detroit, according to the National Weather Service. Here’s a quick glance at weather through Friday night:
Tonight: Rain, possibly mixed with snow, becoming all snow after 9pm, then gradually ending. Low around 31. Windy, with a north northwest wind 18 to 28 mph, with gusts as high as 46 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of around 2 inches.
Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 48. North northwest wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 30. Northwest wind 6 to 9 mph.

Earlier Today: The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the metropolitan Detroit area until 6 a.m. Friday. Counties under the watch include: Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Wayne, Lenawee and Monroe.
Strong northerly winds with wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph are expected. The National Weather Service said the strong wind gusts will make travel hazardous...especially for high profile vehicles on east and west roadways. Isolated power outages may be possible.
