Metro Detroit Weekend Weather: Some Sun, Some Rain, Some Cold

The weekend won't be a total washout, but you won't want to leave your jacket at home.

DETROIT, MI – Brrr. Whatever you do outside this weekend, take a raincoat and umbrella for the first half and a jacket and spring gloves for the second.

After an expected high of 68 and partly sunny skies Friday afternoon, meteorologists with the National Weather Services said rain chances were 90 percent Friday night, mainly after 8 p.m., and that up to half-inch of of precipitation was possible.

Rain chances diminish to 50 percent Saturday. Skies will be mostly cloudy, and the high will only be 58. It will be breezy, with a north-northwest wind 11 to 18 mph.

The temperature will drop to the upper 30s overnight, and wind will continue to gust up to 26 mph.

Mostly sunny skies return Sunday, but the high will only be 52, with a west-northwest wind around 14 mph gusting to up to 23 mph. Lows will be back down in the upper 30s overnight.
