Michigan Primary Election: Clinton, Sanders Talk VP, Bloomberg
Fox News's Bret Baier hosted the Democratic town hall ahead of Tuesday's Michigan presidential primry election.
DETROIT, MI – Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders weighed in on Michael Bloomberg, Citizens United and potential VP choices during Monday’s primary election town hall in Detroit.
“I have the greatest respect for Mike Bloomberg,” Clinton said when asked about the former New York City mayor’s announcement that he will not run for president. “He has to make his own decisions, but I look forward to continuing to work with him.”

Sanders used the opportunity to point out that Bloomberg is a billionaire. “I think it’s a bad idea for American democracy that the only people who feel, in many ways, that they can run for president are people who have so much money.”
Sanders went on to discuss the “disastrous” Supreme Court decision on Citizens United and his hope to overturn it.

A middle school student named Samuel stepped up to the microphone, dressed in a shirt and tie, and asked Clinton if she considered Bernie Sanders an “enemy or an ally.”
“Oh, an ally, for sure,” Clinton said, without hesitation. “And here’s how I think about it, Samuel: We have differences and we are passionate about our positions and about our differences. And like we saw in the debate last night, we air those differences—about issues. Compare that to the Republicans and how they behave.”
“Would you tap him to be your VP choice?” Bret Baier asked Clinton.
“Let’s not get ahead of ourselves,” Clinton responded, a line that got a big laugh from the audience.
