The Dearborn Police Department is participating in the Toys for Tots program this year.

DEARBORN, MI — For children, the Christmas season is the best time of the year. But to make this season memorable for all, the Dearborn Police Department is asking for donations of new and unwrapped toys on Wednesday.

From 6-10 a.m., anyone can stop by the police station — located at 16099 Michigan Avenue and drop a toy off. All toys collected will be distributed to the underprivileged children in Dearborn and Dearborn Heights area by “Toys for Tots” organizers.

Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said people that can’t make it on Wednesday are welcomed to drop off a toy in the police station lobby. Several boxes are set up for collections in the lobby, he said.
