Weather Forecast Wet For Rest Of Thursday, Friday

The weekend will improve with partly sunny conditions and highs of 50-53 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.

METRO DETROIT, MI — It’s not even April, but metropolitan Detroit is being hit with plenty of showers Thursday. The steady rain is going to continue through most of the next few days, according to the National Weather Service.

During the day Thursday, rainfall amounts are expected to reach a quarter to half an inch. An equal amount is likely tonight, and an occasional thunderstorm may pop in scattered areas across the region. Thursday’s high will only reach 44 degrees, the National Weather Service predicted.

As for Friday, expect more of the same. It will be a touch warmer with the high predicted at 51, but up to a half-inch of rain will fall. The rain will finally begin to taper off Friday night, but about a tenth-of-an-inch more wet stuff is expected.
