Bicyclist Shot In The Head, Rides To Nearby Store, Calls Cops

The 61-year-old cyclist was riding on Detroit's west side early Sunday morning.

DETROIT, MI – A bicyclist riding near Northfield and West Warren avenues just after midnight Sunday was shot in the head, according to a news report. The 61-year-old bike rider said he heard a noise and then realized he had been shot, the Detroit Free Press reported.

The man rode to a nearby convenience store, where phoned police. Apparently, the bullet exited the man's nose. He was taken to a nearby hospital and is listed in serious condition after the shooting.
