Collision At Metro Airport Grounds Delta Flight
The plane was scheduled to take off from Detroit Metro Airport at 7:19 a.m.

ROMULUS, MI — Delta passengers heading for Raleigh-Durham, N. C. had a bumpy ride Tuesday morning at Detroit Metro Airport before even taking off, after a collision on the tarmac grounded the flight, according to multiple media reports.
The plane was being pushed back when the tow truck apparently ran into a patch of ice and then hit the plane, WWJ-Radio reported. The Delta plane had minor damages and no people were hurt.
The plane was scheduled to take off from Detroit Metro Airport at 7:19, WXYZ-TV reported. Passengers were forced to wait until 9:35 a.m. to head south.

A total of 3.8 inches of snow fell overnight at the airport, WWJ-Radio reported.
