Detroit Among 'Coolest' Cities To Visit
If you suddenly see crowds of tourists wandering downtown and through the city's neighborhood, you can thank Forbes,

DETROIT, MI – Given the winter we have had, it makes sense that folks here want to get out of the Motor City. Likewise, people elsewhere are looking for a place to visit – and Detroit is a cool destination suggested by Forbes magazine.
Detroit is listed as one of 10 "coolest" cities to visit in the nation, according to the magazine. The city wins high regards from Tom Marchant, a co-founder of the London-based luxury travel company Black Tomato. He credits creative people for jumpstarting the "once moribund metropolis" into a "compelling, quirky place to explore."
The city's burgeoning restaurant scene, its outdoor art spaces and historic architecture make it special, he told the magazine.

"There's a palpable authenticity to Detroit," Marchant says in the article.
Of course, we already knew that. So back to us getting out of here for a break from this seemingly unending winter. The Forbes article offers these other nine "coolest" cities to visit as options:
