Detroit Lions Players Speak Out Against Jacob Blake Shooting
Detroit canceled its Tuesday practice and held up signs outside the team's facility speaking out against the shooting of Jacob Blake.

DETROIT, MI — Players from the Detroit Lions skipped out on practice Tuesday, using the time to speak out against the shooting of Jacob Blake.
Blake, 29, was shot Sunday by police in Wisconsin as he leaned into his SUV, cell phone video showed. The shooting occurred while three of his children were reportedly sitting inside the vehicle.

According to The Detroit Free Press, several members of the team spoke about the shooting Tuesday, including quarterback Matthew Stafford, who told the Free Press he had never been more proud to be a Lion.

Photos on social media showed players standing beside a large whiteboard with "The World Can't Go On! Stop and Listen" written on it.
Dan Orlovsky, a former quarterback with the Lions, posted on Twitter supporting the players.
