Detroit Man Charged In Death Of 8-Month-Old Son
He initially was charged with child abuse, but those charges were upgraded after the boy died last week, the prosecutor's office said.

DETROIT, MI – A father is now facing murder charges in the death last week of his 8-month-old son. The office of Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy announced today that Dominique Jones-Hardy, 31, of Detroit, now faces charges of felony murder and second degree murder.
Jones-Hardy will be arraigned on the new charges on Thursday during a probable cause hearing. The new charges are in addition to child abuse charges from last week.
On Dec. 11, police went to Jones-Hardy's home in the 11600-block of Laing Street. The boy, who suffered from multiple head injuries, was taken to a nearby hospital and died on Dec. 14, according to authorities.

Jones-Hardy is currently in the Wayne County Jail.
