Driver With Suspended License Crashes Into State Trooper

No one was injured in the crash, but troopers ask drivers to move over when they see lights and flashers.

DETROIT, MI – A 47-year-old man has been arrested on an outstanding warrant after he crashed into a Michigan State trooper's cruiser along the Southfield Freeway on Monday morning. Troopers say there were no injuries.

Troopers were on the scene of a crash on the Southfield Freeway near McNichols just after midnight when the collision occurred. Troopers said the driver of a Ford was headed south on the Southfield Freeway "when he disregarded all emergency lights" and hit the patrol car and two tow trucks.

The state police said the driver was not impaired, but his license was suspended and he had an outstanding warrant. Police arrested him and took him to the Detroit Detention Center.
