Elect Women To Stop Sexual Misconduct: Michigan Candidate
You can trust a "candidate who doesn't have a penis" says Dana Nessel, who is running to be the state's attorney general.

DETROIT, MI – A candidate for attorney general in Michigan thinks she has a solution to the many allegations of sexual harassment against current political figures: Put a slate of women in statewide offices across Michigan.
Dana Nessel, a Detroit lawyer and former assistant prosecutor, launched a campaign ad this week promoting just that idea.
"So when you’re choosing Michigan’s next attorney general, ask yourself this: Who can you trust most not to show you their penis in a professional setting? Is it the candidate who doesn’t have a penis? I’d say so," says Nessel in the campaign ad.

The ad features images of Roy Moore, the candidate for Senate in Alabama and President Donald Trump, both Republicans, and fired CBS News anchor Charlie Rose. One person it does not show is Rep. John Conyers, the 88-year-old lawmaker from Detroit who is facing a string of sexual misconduct allegations from former staff members.
Conyers, like Nessel, is a Democrat.

Nessel, in the ad, counters what some pundits may say is an unlikely scenario – having women in all three top statewide posts of governor, secretary of state and attorney.
"Well, I read the news and I bet you do too," Nessel says. "It has me wondering, can we afford not to?"
Nessel launched her bid to succeed current attorney general Bill Schuette in August. Schuette, a Republican, cannot run for office due to term limits. He, however, has announced his candidacy for governor of Michigan.
Nessel has previously said that among her priorities if elected are to expand civil right protections for the LGBTQ community, back off marijuana prosecutions in the state and halt the natural gas-oil pipeline in the Straits of Mackinac. Nessel, in the ad, refers voters to her website to find out more about her campaign priorities.
She makes firm promises, though.
"I will not sexually harass my staff, and I won’t tolerate it in your workplace either," she says. "I won’t walk around in a half-open bathrobe. And, I’ll continue to take all sex crimes seriously, just like I did as a prosecutor."
