Flint United Basketball Club to Open Inaugural Season

Flint's new professional basketball team Flint United will open the 2021 season this Friday, April 9th.

Flint, MI. (April 9, 2021) - Flint’s new professional basketball team Flint United will open the 2021 season this Friday, April 9th at 7 p.m. This will be the first game for the team as they begin their inaugural season.

Flint United was founded by Flint native Kevin Mays in 2020 and will compete in The Basketball League (TBL). The team wrapped up their first training camp in March and will open the regular season on the road against the Kokomo Bobcats.

“We are very pleased with the work that our players and coaching staff have done in training camp,” said Mays, Team Market Owner and President. “We are excited to introduce our team to the fans and tip-off our first season.”

The game will be streamed via TBLTV, the league’s streaming service and will be available at the team’s website www.flintunited.net.

Team players and staff will be available for pre-game and post-game interviews. Media are welcome to attend the game or conduct interviews virtually.

Flint United will play another road game on Sunday, April 11th against the Dayton Flight at 3 p.m. The team will host the Indy Express in their home opener on Friday, April 16th at Dort Financial Center in Flint.
