Flooding Prompts Freeway Closures Throughout Detroit: Report
Parts of Interstates 94 and 75 are closed Saturday morning after flash flooding prompted numerous people to abandon their vehicles.
DETROIT, MI — Two Detroit freeways closed Saturday after severe weather overnight caused significant flooding on the city's roadways.
Westbound Interstate 75 at Dearborn is closed and eastbound Interstate 94 is closed at Greenfield and Michigan Avenue, The Detroit News reported. Portions of Michigan highways 10 and 39 are also closed due to flooding, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
Meanwhile, freeways remain littered with abandoned cars. Michigan State Police are continuing to check and remove vehicles from the freeway, while the agency's Marine Services Team is checking submerged vehicles to make sure they are empty.

Motorists who abandoned their vehicles should contact their state police post to find out where the vehicles were towed.
No injuries have been reported.

Drivers can stay on top of road closures through MDOT's website.
Rain totals in Wayne County's Grosse Pointe reached 6.5 inches over 12 hours, The News reported. Cities from Detroit to Ann Arbor received between 4 to 6.5 inches.
The area remains under a flood warning until 4 p.m. EDT, according to the National Weather Service.
