Former Bills Player Murdered By Drug Dealers: Feds
Robert Eddins' body was found in December 2016. Authorities say that he was killed by drug dealers from Alabama.

DETROIT, MI – Three men have been charged in the December 2016 shooting death of former Buffalo Bills linebacker Robert Eddins, announced U.S. Attorney Matthew Schneider. The men, accused of being drug dealers from Alabama who came to Detroit, were indicted on federal charges of capital murder, heroin and cocaine distribution, and related firearm offenses.
Michael DeAngelo Griffin, 34, of Birmingham, Alabama, Clifton Dennis Epps, 30, of Amory, Mississippi, and Mariano Lozoya Garcia, 47, of Brownsville, Texas, came from Alabama to Detroit on Dec. 20, 2016, with the intent to harm Eddins, according to a statement from Schneider's office.
The bodies of Eddins, as well as another man, Ricardo McFarlin, were found in a basement of a home on the city's west side. They had been shot to death.

The accused men are believed to be drug dealers.
“The murders of Eddin and McFarlin is just another example of how violence is intertwined with drug trafficking,” Special Agent Timothy Plancon of the Drug Enforcement Agency's Detroit office said in a statement.

Eddins is from Detroit and attended Ball State University. He played one game for the Buffalo Bills in 2011.
