Heavy Storms, Winds Possible Friday Night In Southeast Michigan
The National Weather Service has reported that the storms could create heavy winds of up to 65 mph, heavy rains and some flooding.
DETROIT, MI — Heavy storms possible in southeast Michigan Friday night and into Saturday morning could cause heavy winds and rain, according to the National Weather Service in Detroit.
The National Weather Service has reported that the storms could create heavy winds of up to 65 mph. The storms also have the potential to cause heavy rainfall and some flooding. There is a smaller chance of tornadoes and hail up to 1-inch in diameter.
The storms are expected to pass through southeast Michigan between 5 p.m. Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday. All of southeast Michigan, particularly between Lansing and Detroit, will be in the line of the storm. The storm will move west to east at around 40-50 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
