Henry Ford Village Gives Seniors and Their Families Moving Advice
Two webinars held by local senior living community take place within the next 2 weeks.

DEARBORN, Mich. – Moving and downsizing can lead to some tough questions: Who can help me move? How do I efficiently pack? How do I fit all of my “stuff” into a smaller house? What should I keep and what should I throw out? Henry Ford Village hopes to help seniors and their families with those questions and more as it hosts two webinars focusing on moving and relocating for seniors.
The first event, “Moving and Downsizing,” will take place Thursday, May 6 at 1 p.m. Sharon McRill, owner and president of The Betty Brigade, a relocation and organization company based in Ann Arbor, Mich. and author of “Downsizing the Silver Tsunami,” will explain how to navigate the difficult pathways of moving and downsizing.
In addition, “Your Moving Questions Answered,” will take place Thursday, May 13 at 1 p.m. Andrew Androff, co-owner of ProfessionalMovers.com, a nationally recognized pioneer in the delicate art of senior relocation, will take charge of the conversation.

"Moving is a stressful time in anyone’s life and can be especially so for senior citizens. Finding the “right” new home, identifying and securing resources needed for the move and time are all challenges, but we hope these webinars can lay it all out, so the process is as simple as possible and help attendees develop a plan that works for them," said Wayne Hindmarsh, Director of Sales & Marketing, Henry Ford Village. "We host many webinars like this through out the year each for seniors the community at large as well as own residents and their family members. They bring a lot of value.”
Both events are free to attend and open to the public via Zoom, but pre-registration is required and can be done so by visiting henryfordvillage.com/contact/upcoming-events.
